Laurel
Cottage is personally run by the owners, Gwen and John who offer
you a warm & friendly welcome to this beautiful Victorian
guest house built in the 1890s from local stone which has been
sympathetically renovated & modernised for your comfort, yet
has retained all its character & original features.
It is peacefully situated just three minutes' walk from Windermere
village centre & all its amenities.
The spacious bedrooms
are tastefully furnished & decorated & have en-suite facilities,
colour televisions, VHS Video, CD's, player, alarm clock radios,
hospitality trays & a range of toiletries.
The Guest's
Lounge is comfortable & spacious & is packed with maps,
books on local walks & climbs & many other magazines &
books for your perusal. There is also a choice of games for your
enjoyment in the evenings.
Our choice of breakfast
menu includes a hearty and traditional English Breakfast where
we use the best local produce available including Cumberland and
Waberthwaite sausages & free range eggs. For those who prefer
a lighter breakfast we offer fruits in season & locally made
yoghurts, choice of cereals, we also cater for vegetarians and
offer a range of options including vege. sausages and bacon.
